Feel-Good Reunion of the Day: Ted “Golden Voice” Williams reunites with his 90-year-old mother Julia in a conference room in midtown Manhattan. “My prodigal son has finally come home,” Ms. Williams said, just before the two hugged for the first time in 20 years.
Video of the emotional meeting can be seen below:
Prior to their reunion this morning, Ms. Williams expressed reserved optimism over her son’s new-found fame, telling the AP: “He has so much talent. I hope this will be the thing for him. He came from a nice family. And then he went poor, poor. So, maybe this will build him up and let him see that there’s more in life than hanging around with the wrong people, and taking drugs.”
